A Casual Space for Profound Healing
Hi! You can call me Nikki. Welcome to my site. I'm glad you're here.
-WHO I WORK WITH-
If you’re an adult struggling with self-doubt, self-criticism, poor body image, obsessive and intrusive thoughts, high emotional sensitivity, excess anxiety, perfectionism, who sets unreachable standards for themselves, struggles to ask for help, and who often puts yourself last, I am here to support you and guide you to insight and relief. If you have ever been diagnosed with or suspect you have an eating disorder like anorexia, bulimia, binge-eating disorder, or anxiety, or OCD, I see you, and I want to help you through this.
-MY APPROACH-
I believe that you are the expert on your lived experience and that my role is to join you with my knowledge on how to create healing to form a partnership toward growth. I believe that you are capable of holding the discomfort of life without crumbling underneath the weight of it all, and I will help you learn to believe this too. I believe in the power of self-friendship in the healing process, and I will help you learn to connect to yourself in powerful ways. I believe in your ability to bring about the changes in your life that you desire and together we will work with your unique strengths and abilities to help you bring that forward. It is my mission to help you see that you are enough, that you are worthy, and that you’re powerful beyond measure.
-BACKGROUND & CREDENTIALS-
I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University in Georgia. I hold a license in Mental Health Counseling in Florida and a license in Professional Counseling in Georgia, and I work with clients throughout the states of Florida & Georgia. I have extensive experience working with clients struggling with eating disorders, disordered eating, poor body image, anxiety, perfectionism, and OCD. The care I provide is justice-based, size-inclusive, trauma-informed, intersectionality-acknowledging, and gender-affirming. I combine my skilled professional knowledge with my own personal experience as person recovered from an eating-disorder and as a person who knows deeply how it feels to struggle with perfectionism and existential thoughts to provide my clients with a gentle balance of compassionate care and accountability. I understand everyone has their own personal life goals and I will always respect and help you bring the vision that you have for yourself to life.
-GET TO KNOW ME-
I am a mental health enthusiast, cat lover and owner of 2, a life-long learner and deep thinker who loves to read and listen to podcasts. I'm a compassion warrior and an introvert who enjoys her me-time. I love all kinds of music, but you’ll always find Julia Michaels and Taylor Swift on any of my playlists. Self-expression for me is a must and I love getting creative with it. I like stretching and reconnecting to my body through movement and being outside. I'm a foodie and love trying new things. I'm always open to hearing your Netflix recommendations. You can expect me to always be curious, insightful, and passionate in nature. For those interested I am an INFP, Enneagram 2, and a Water sign. I look forward to getting to know you too.
